GARBAGE PICKUP - Garbage pickup is on Monday only. . PLEASE HAVE GARBAGE OUT SUNDAY NIGHT.GARBAGE WILL BE REJECTED IF ANY RECYCLING IS IN GARBAGE. Garbage bags can be obtained by calling Ed Rice @ 712-320-4394 or 338-4394.
RECYCLING – The City has a contract with H & H Recycling (712-336-5530) for curbside pickup of PLASTIC – GLASS – TIN – PAPER – CARDBOARD. Curbside recycling will be picked up the 2nd and 4th Mondays during June, July and August and the 4th Monday from September through May. Make sure to separate as required or they Will NOT pick it up.

NEWS PAPER & MAGAZINES ARE TO BE IN A BAG OR IN A BOX

RECYCLING BINS ARE LOCATED AT THE CITY HALL FOR USE 24 HOURS A DAY- 7 DAYS A WEEK. PLEASE SEPARATE INTO THE CORRECT BINS.

YARD WASTE – Grass Clippings, Garden Waste and Leaves MUST be separated from Tree Limbs. All limbs must be cut to a length of 4 feet. NO YARD WASTE IN THE GARBAGE OR IT WILL BE LEFT. If you have a large amount you can haul it to a sight ½ a mile east of the Catholic Church in Milford (on the north side of the road). This is a Recycling Facility (338-2549) that accepts yard waste, and by appointment will accept Household Hazardous Materials. Contact Ed Rice (712-320-4394) for a pamphlet of prices and hours that they are open.
PERMITS – If Erecting, Reconstructing, Altering, and Repairing Building or, Landscaping (including fences) a permit must be issued from the Zoning Officer, Ed Rice (712-320-4394). For any Digging or Excavating in Public Right including Alley or Streets, a permit must be issued.
